Presented in the solo exhibition of the same name at Vartai Gallery, the piece reflects on the mutual dependence between objects and our everyday existence: we support them, and they, in turn, support us. The sidetable explores the relationship between books and the furniture that holds them — a spatial and symbolic tension inviting reflection.
Designed to hold books horizontally, it gestures toward care, storage, and memory. During the pandemic, books regained presence in domestic life as quiet tools for imagining beyond reality. This piece acknowledges that role — as both a functional object and a vessel of cultural continuity.
