Natrix Natrix Bar Cabinet The NATRIX NATRIX BAR CABINET is part of The Slipcover collection. This sculptural yet functional piece is designed to hold bottles and glassware, evoking the sinuous form of the common grass snake (Natrix natrix).

Beyond its function, the piece navigates the interplay between transparency and solidity. The perforated aluminum mesh curtain simultaneously reveals and conceals its contents, introducing a tension between visibility and obscurity.

The cabinet stands on an aluminum-cast base composed of intertwining, digitally manipulated snake forms. These sculptural elements reference the fluid motion of the serpent, merging abstract and vitalist animal forms.

The mesh curtain, suspended by exposed bearings, evokes a snake’s shed skin. This gesture introduces a layered duality—between containment and transformation, between natural cycles and constructed environments.

More than a bar cabinet, the Natrix Natrix piece functions as a sculptural provocation. It reflects on the act of concealing and revealing, asking what is held inside and what remains just out of sight.

The piece can be customised to specific dimensions, adapting to a range of spaces while retaining its distinct sculptural presence.
