Presented in the solo exhibition of the same name at Vartai Gallery, the piece reflects on the quiet, mutual dependence between objects and our daily lives: we support them, and they support us in return. This sidetable explores the relationship between books and the furniture that holds them—a spatial and symbolic tension that invites reflection on care, presence, and permanence.
Designed to hold books horizontally, the piece evokes storage not as containment, but as attention. During the pandemic, books re-emerged in domestic life not only as sources of knowledge, but as tools for grounding, for imagining beyond immediate reality. SIDE BOOK TABLE honors that role—functioning as both a sculptural object and a vessel of cultural continuity.
